Ladder match for an X Division title shot
Amazing Red vs Brian Kendrick vs Daniels vs Kazarian

A good choice to start off the show and get the crowd warmed up. These guys put in a lot of effort and produced a very good match. There weren't any standout incredible moments but a lot of innovative use of ladders, and none of the spots felt overly set-up which was nice. Kazarian retrieved the contract after suplexing Daniels off the ladder and kicking Kendrick down.
Winner: Kazarian (13:39)
Via contract retrieval
***1/2

Women's Knockout Championship
Tara (c) vs Daffney
Fairly decent women's match here, Daffney put on some quite innovative submission holds at one point. Tara eventually got the upper hand and finished the match with the Widow's Peak. As she was celebrating the win, Daffney stole her spider and Tara chased her backstage.
Winner and STILL Knockout Champion, Tara (6:45)
Via Pinfall (Widow's Peak)
*1/2

Global Championship
Rob Terry (c) vs Magnus
Absolute waste of time. Terry is more a bodybuilder than a wrestler and it seems a strange decision to me to have him as a champion, making this already fairly worthless title seem even more so. Pretty much just a squash match, Terry finished it off with a spinning heel kick then a front powerslam.
Winner and STILL Global Champion, Rob Terry (1:23)
Via Pinfall (Powerslam)
1/4*

Ultimate X match for a Tag Team title shot
Generation Me vs The Motor City Machine Guns

Brilliant X division match, was pretty much non stop the entire 12 minutes. These guys obviously aren't the best at selling moves or psychology but boy are they fantastic athletes. There actually wasn't a whole lot of spots involving the structure itself but still many memorable moments. The ending came when Sabin and Jeremy were on the wires and Sabin managed to kick Jeremy loose who took a brutal 10+ foot back bump to the mat, while Sabin grabbed the X.
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns (12:03)
Via X retrieval
***3/4

If The Band win, they get TNA contracts
The Band vs Kevin Nash & Eric Young

Predictably dull and slow paced match. Not much to note of before the end, where Nash turned on Young, giving him the Jacknife Powerbomb. Pac then hit the X-Factor before Hall finished it with the Razor's Edge. After the match, the now three man Wolfpac drew a graffiti outline of Young on the canvas.
Winners: The Band (7:31)
Syxx-Pac pinned Young (Razor's Edge by Hall)
*

X Division Championship
Doug Williams (c) vs Shannon Moore
Another short and fairly un-noteworthy match. There were a few typical X division spots including dives to the outside etc. Williams picked up the win by hitting Moore with a brick while the referee was trying to seperate them. After the match, Williams mocked Moore and gave him a makeover using lipstick stolen from a handbag in the crowd.
Winner and STILL X Division Champion, Doug Williams (6:21)
Via Pinfall (Brick shot)
**

World Tag Team Championship
Matt Morgan & Hernandez (c) vs Beer Money, Inc.
Most of this match was spent highlighting the tension between Morgan and Hernandez. Morgan decided when he wanted to tag himself in and out of the match, leaving Hernandez to take most of the punishment. Hernandez however managed to fight off both members of Beer Money and hit storm with a big backbreaker to win it. This angered Morgan who hit Hernandez with the Carbon Footprint after the match. I'm not sure why they kept the belts on these two, when it's clear there's a feud building anyway, and it doesn't require them being champions anymore.
Winners and STILL Tag Team Champions, Matt Morgan & Hernandez (11:23)
Hernandez pinned Storm (Mexican Backbreaker)
*3/4

Kurt Angle vs Mr. Anderson
Decent match between these two, althought it started off fairly slowly. Angle kept challenging Anderson to get him into headlocks just to prove that he could out wrestle him. Towards the end Anderson kicked out of the Angle Slam before Angle repeated the feat by kicking out of the Mic Check. The referee got knocked out towards the end, leading Anderson to fetch Angle's medal. Angle reversed the attempted medal shot into an Angle Slam, and then proceeded to go crazy, continuously hitting Anderson with the medal to bust him wide open. Angle then got the win via the grape-vined Ankle Lock.
Winner: Kurt Angle (17:37)
Via Submission (Ankle Lock)
***1/4

World Heavyweight Championship
A.J. Styles (c) vs Abyss
What started out as a great contest turned into a farcical mess. The first 10 or so minutes were fairly solid as everyone knows these two are capable of. Styles really knows how to put over Abyss' power. Styles also hit his spectacular Spiral Tap move off the top, but only for a 2 count. Then the comedy began as Flair used pepper spray on the referee, allowing Styles to hit Abyss with the title belt and then a Springboard 450 Splash. Hulk Hogan then came down with a 2nd referee and wheeled Flair (who was in a wheelchair) out of the arena. Abyss then began to hulk up due to the power of the Hall of Fame ring and eventually Chokeslammed AJ through the ring, leading the referee to end the match as a No Contest.
After the match, Flair made his way back down to the ring and so Hogan pepper sprayed him. Desmond Wolfe then came down only to also be pepper sprayed and the comically fall over Flair into the hole in the ring. Then to cap it all Flair also fell into the ring as Abyss and Hogan celebrated.
No Contest. Styles retains the title. (14:58)
No Contest (Abyss chokeslammed Styles through the ring)
**1/2

Overall Thoughts:
What could have been a semi-decent event with 3 or 4 great matches, turned into an overbooked comical disaster worthy of the WrestleCrap hall of fame. The ending to the main event is right up there with Paul Bearer being buried in concrete at GAB 2004. There were 3 solid matches, but these were overshadowed by the ridiculous amount of filler and poorly booked matches. There are a number of good feuds leading into Lockdown, but knowning TNA (well, Hogan/Bischoff/Russo) they'll find some ways of ruining these by putting themselves centre stage.

4.5 / 10.0
